Newcastle and the Hunter are where much of my Australian building, development and sustainable-material work became practical rather than academic.

A region that rewards practical experimentation

The Hunter combines trades capability, industrial knowledge, property development and a strong relationship with energy. It is a natural place to test better ways of building.

Sustainability has to survive the site

A material can look excellent in a brochure and still fail commercially if labour, sequencing, moisture, detailing or supply are ignored. I am interested in the point where environmental performance meets buildability.

Projects create evidence

I value prototypes, mock-ups, cost comparisons and site learning because they expose assumptions that are invisible in concept design.
